Vacancy Fee Project is a small, grassroots organization run by Sacramento locals. This movement was started because of the frustration many of us face from seeing vacant properties all around town that could otherwise be put toward better use.

Vacancy Fee Project is a registered 501(c)(4) social welfare organization that aims to promote the common good and general welfare of the public by advocating for legislative and ballot-based solutions to vacant properties, conducting research on land use efficiency, and supporting the implementation of vacancy taxes, fees, and other related housing and property policies across various California jurisdictions.
